The Onshore Storm

One of the most chilling aural impressions left after witnessing a fierce, coastal storm is the ominous rumble of heavy rocks churning unseen in boiling surf.

Spoken Word Recording:

See the tumbling breakers crashing,
Hear the tortured cobbles thrashing,
While you feel the tempest lashing,
Salt spume against your face.
Scorning elemental roaring,
Mark the expert fulmars soaring.
And intrepid storm cock pouring
His heart out into space.

Fierce white horses wildly prancing,
Their foaming pennants dancing,
With splintered sunbeams glancing,
Through rift in thunderhead.
Darkly baleful, heaven louring,
Primal forces overpowering
All terrestrial nature cowering,
Imbued with sense of dread.
